Dracula Goby
A jewel of a nano shrimp-goby: crisp white body ringed with solid red-to-maroon bars and a vivid yellow face, hovering just above its burrow. In the wild it lives commensally with the pistol shrimp Alpheus randalli, and the pair bonds best when goby and shrimp are introduced together. Utterly reef-safeWon't harm corals or invertebrates, so it's safe to keep in a reef tank rather than a fish-only setup. and peaceful, it needs a deep sandy substrateThe material covering the tank bottom, such as sand or gravel. to dig in, brisk oxygenated flow, and a tight lid — like most gobies it will jump. Feed small meaty foods several times a day; its tiny mouth wastes away if it competes with boisterous tankmates.
