Start with your tank
Everything begins from the tank — it's the anchor every other part is measured against. Open the builder and you'll pick one first; from there the app guides you.
Pick a tank
Filter by shape, size, or whether it's an all-in-one (a tank with built-in filtration) versus a sump-based system. Tap one to add it. That choice sets the baseline for every compatibility check that follows.
Choose your reef type
Softies, LPS, SPS, or a mix? This one tap tells the app how much light your corals want, so it can judge whether a light is right for your reef — not just any tank.
SPS want the most light; softies the least. Your pick sets the PAR target the builder checks lights against.
Add your parts
Add a return pump, skimmer, light, heater and the rest. As you browse, every product carries a plain-English verdict for your tank — is it the right size, do you need more than one, or does it simply not fit?
A running checklist tracks what's covered. If you picked an all-in-one tank, its built-in pump and light show as “incl.” — no need to add them.

Read the dashboard
Want the detail? The dashboard turns your exact parts into instruments — light penetration, flow, heating, power, cost. It shows, at a glance, whether the build is too weak, too strong, or nicely balanced.
