Longnose Hawkfish
An elegant, red-lattice hawkfish with a long snout that perches motionless on rock or a gorgonian, watching the tank like a tiny falcon. It is coral-safe, but it is an ambush predator: small ornamental shrimp, tiny crustaceans, and feather dusters are on the menu, so it is invert-unsafe and best without prized cleanup shrimp. It rarely attacks fish it can't swallow, but it is a determined jumper — keep it lidded, ideally one per tank.
