Longsnout Seahorse
Named for its unusually long snout, Hippocampus reidi is a Western Atlantic and Caribbean seahorse famous for some of the brightest color morphs in the hobby — sunburst yellow, orange and even lavender, alongside black and brown. It is one of the most widely captive-bred seahorse species, but remains a slow, weak-swimming specialist that needs a dedicated low-flow tank, plenty of hitching posts, and several small enriched-mysis feedings a day to avoid being outcompeted for food.
