The Six-Line Soapfish (also sold as the Goldenstriped or Golden Stripe Soapfish) is a dark brown, secretive nocturnalActive at night and hidden away during the day. hunter marked with pale yellow stripes, hiding under ledges by day and coming out to hunt small fish and crustaceans after dark. It carries a serious hidden risk: when stressed, injured or dying it can release a toxic skin mucus called grammistin that is potent enough to kill every other fish in the tank, so calm handling, a gentle acclimation and never adding shipping water to the display are essential.
