Stenopus hispidus

A strikingly banded red-and-white cleaner shrimp found on reefs worldwide, known for waving its long white antennae to advertise its cleaning station to passing fish. Despite its peaceful reputation toward fish, it is genuinely dangerous to other shrimp and crustaceans — it will kill other cleaner shrimp species and attack snails and hermit crabs — so it must be kept singly or as a confirmed bonded pair, never mixed loosely with the rest of a cleanup crew.
