Clownfish
Percula Clownfish
Amphiprion percula
The "true" clownfish of the pair — nearly identical to the Ocellaris but with thicker black outlines and, in most keepers' experience, a slightly bolder, more territorial personality. It is a hardy, widely captive-bred beginner fish that defends a small patch near its rock or host anemone yet ignores the rest of a peaceful reef community. It will host a bubble-tip anemone if offered but thrives without one.
