Tang
Scopas Tang
Zebrasoma scopas
The Scopas Tang is a hardy, disc-shaped Zebrasoma with subtle brown-to-olive colouring that deepens toward the tail. It is a continuous open-water grazer that patrols the rockwork and needs plenty of swimming room plus a steady supply of algae to stay healthy. One of the tougher, more forgiving tangs, though it is among the more territorial Zebrasoma and will strongly defend its grazing turf against other tangs and similarly shaped fish.
Keep just one per tank — two will fight.
