Yellow Longnose Butterflyfish

A bright-yellow butterfly with a black upper head and a long tweezer snout it uses to probe rockwork for small prey. It is one of the hardiest and best-behaved butterflies for a peaceful community, and the most reef-tolerant of the group — but not fully trustworthy: a well-fed fish usually ignores corals, while some individuals pick at stony and soft coral polyps, tubeworms and small tube-dwelling inverts, so keep it as reef-safe with caution. Peaceful, active and long-lived; best kept one per tank.
