Bicolor Foxface

A Fiji-endemic foxface reaching about 24 cm, prized as a strong, reliable herbivorous algae grazer for large reef tanks. It is hardy and easy to feed once settled, but it is a poor fit for anything but a spacious, established aquarium. Reef-safe with caution — well-fed adults generally leave stony coral alone, but a hungry fish will pick at soft coral polyps. It carries venomous dorsal, anal and pelvic spines, and is Near Threatened in the wild due to its small native range and reef habitat loss, so essentially all trade stock is wild-collected.
