Foxface Rabbitfish

Siganus vulpinus

A big, bright-yellow grazer with a black-and-white "fox" face and a peaceful, almost timid disposition — an excellent algae-eater for a large reef. Its dorsal, pelvic, and anal spines are venomous, so it needs careful handling (a painful sting for the aquarist), though it rarely bothers tankmates except other rabbitfish. It is reef-safe with caution: reliably algae-focused when well fed, but a hungry Foxface will sample soft corals and LPS. Plan for a long, large tank.
