Flashing Tilefish

Hoplolatilus chlupatyi

Also called the chameleon sand tilefish, Hoplolatilus chlupatyi can flash rapidly through electric blue, green, yellow and pink — a colour-changing ability almost unheard of among reef fish. It's a shy, burrow-dwelling zooplanktivore best kept as a bonded pair in an established tank, and like all sand tilefish it's a determined jumper that demands a tightly sealed lid.
