Keyhole Angelfish

Centropyge tibicen

One of the largest dwarf angels, the Keyhole is deep matte-black with a single white-to-yellow bar on its flank and a yellow ventral flush — quietly striking rather than flashy. It is a semi-aggressive, secretive fish that hides on arrival but grows bold with time, and it needs plenty of live rock to graze. Reef-safe only with caution, as it nips soft and stony coral polyps, clam mantles and other sessile inverts.
