A mottled, bushy-crested little Atlantic blenny that is now widely captive-bred and close to bulletproof — one of the best possible first fish for a new reef. It grazes film algae and, unusually, will pick at small Aiptasia and cyanobacteria, earning its keep as a working cleanup member. Peaceful with tankmates and reef-safe; it can get a little bossy toward other bottom-dwellers in tight quarters, so give it rockwork to patrol.
