Scott's Fairy Wrasse

Cirrhilabrus scottorum

A large, spectacular fairy wrasse whose display male turns green, red, and blue with a dark flank blotch, colouring up dramatically when courting. It is peaceful toward tankmates, corals, and inverts, and stays out in open water above the rock picking at zooplankton. Like all Cirrhilabrus it is haremic — keep one male alone or one male with several females, since two males will fight unless the tank is large — and it is an accomplished jumper that needs a fully sealed lid.
