Social Fairy Wrasse
A jewel of the Red Sea, the Social (or Red-margin) Fairy Wrasse tops out around 8 cm and drapes itself in rose-red and violet with vivid crimson fin margins that flare when a male displays. Peaceful, reef-safe and endlessly active, it hovers in the water column picking zooplankton and is a superb choice for a community reef. True to its name it does well in a harem of one male to several females in a larger tank. Like all fairy wrasses it is a flighty jumper, so a fully covered aquarium is essential.
