Pseudanthias ignitus

A small, fiery red-and-pink Indian Ocean anthias that brings a shimmering flash of colour to the upper water column. Like most anthias it is a planktivore with a fast metabolism, so it demands a mature tank and small meaty feedings several times a day — the main reason it is not a beginner fish. Reef- and invert-safe and relatively peaceful; keep as a single male with a group of females and choose calm, non-competitive tankmates.
